Linking to pages and specific parts of pages within this website Example of a sample link to a specific part of a web page. This link will take you to the page numbered 475 on web page epilogue.html in chapter three.
To constuct the above link you would write the following code:
<a href="http://www.advaitavedanta.co.uk/content/view/48/0/"> This is the link, click it.</a>
The "section" is where you want the link to go to. The #475 has been predefined in the web page. At the moment all the page numbers of science of the absolute have been predefined.
The maroon section is the text you can display as the link.
This is useful as a link can be entered within the forum pages to answer a question by refering to the text. Also individual text items can be refered to in this way, but the text will need setting up before hand with a link ref number or name eg. "#targettext". |
